Healing Traumas: A Path To Business Sucess

Hey Biz Owners,

In the bustling world of entrepreneurship, we often focus on strategies, finances, and innovation to drive our businesses forward. Yet, amidst the daily grind, we can't overlook the importance of personal well-being and how it directly impacts our ability to lead effectively.

When you begin to notice a sense of unhappiness in your life, one question you should ask yourself is, ‘Am I using this business as a vehicle for happiness or have I personally found happiness within myself?’.

In my interview with Kelly Campbell, a Trauma-Informed Leadership Coach in the Small Biz Tips Podcast on the topic Heal to Lead for Entrepreneurs, I’ve come to realize how unhealed traumas and unsettled issues from our childhood can have an impact on your kind of leadership.

Here are 3 healing truths you should take from her enlightening session:

  1. What is your purpose here?

The earlier you can answer why exactly you are on this green earth, you’ll find the drive and direction to keep moving in your business. But don’t be surprised that your answer may bring the unpleasant truth that ‘starting a business or continuing a business might not be what you need at the moment’.
But wherever this truth leads you, embrace it. Be true to yourself.

  1. Strive for High Conscious leadership

The foundation for having this kind of leadership comes from understanding who you are and dealing with childhood traumas, past rejections, and humiliations you have experienced.

The advantage? You’d create a safe space for your employees to express themselves and commit to do HIGH value work.

  1. Ask for help

There’s a popular saying that a shared problem is half-solved and I believe that the other half of the solution comes by making a conscious and daily effort to heal. Traumas are not to be ignored but overcome. Book that session with a psychotherapist or psychologist TODAY!

Kelly’s appearance on the Small Biz Tips Podcast was one powerful, and enlightening moment that I believe this newsletter cannot express the value embedded in it, you just have to listen to it.
